I am a freelance ecologist based in South Lanarkshire. A former postdoctoral biologist, I have twenty years experience in report writing both commercial and academic, project management and working within a legislative framework. I have studied ecological surveying at the SRUC and have undertaken a wide range of accredited ecological training. I am a qualifying member of CIEEM, a full member of the Royal Society of Biology and have my own insurance.

I possess excellent bird, plant and field sign ID skills and have been working as a field ecologist for several consultancies, including ECoW work with ground nesting birds and great crested newts. I have assisted in bat emergence, otter, Phase 1 walkover and habitat condition surveys and am familiar with QGIS and QField.

I also have experience in a variety of bird surveys including breeding bird surveys, point counts and territory mapping and core-count wetland bird surveys.
